Texas has some incredible abandoned places. Ghost towns such as Pontotoc and Fort McKavett offer ruins of buildings and dwellings that you would be hard pressed to find anywhere else. These places offer a unique story to tell about those that once (or maybe still) inhabit them. We will be making images of both the inside and outside of some of the creepiest places Texas has to offer.

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE

DAY ONE will start the adventure off in Georgetown, Texas with a shoot of the exterior of the Old Williamson County Jail (built in 1888), It housed prisoners until 1989; including Tom Young, the last man hanged in Williamson County (1906), and infamous serial killer Henry Lee Lucas, who was sentenced to death for a Williamson County murder. Part of the building is still in use today, as county offices. Workers claim binders fall from the shelves and their lunches fly off desks on a routine basis.

We will then journey to the ghost town of Pontotoc, Texas where a typhoid epidemic in 1887 was so severe, the town had to build a second cemetery to accommodate the amount of deaths. Those cemeteries will also be stop. A fire destroyed the town in 1947 rendering it a ghost town. There are several settlers homes from the mid 1800's, still intact in this location northwest of Llano.

DAY TWO of our ghost town adventure will take us to Clairemont, Texas where the old Kent County Jail sits (built in 1895). We will be shooting both the interior and exterior of this terrifying building where numerous outlaws laid on their death beds.

DAY THREE will take us to the ghost town of Bartlett, Texas. This little known location is home to some of the best and most frightening abandoned structures in the state of Texas.
