This affordable two day workshop will help you take your landscape photography to the next level. We will be shooting during all hours of the day; sunrise, afternoon, sunset, and dark at some of the most photogenic locations in Central Texas. There will also be three editing classes so your pictures will are guaranteed to turn out incredible.

During this fun filled weekend, we will be photographing Hamilton Pool, the Pennybacker Bridge, Austin, and the moon and stars over country landscapes. 

This workshop is great for those that want to learn more about landscapes photography. It also provides excellent scouted locations for more seasoned photographer's to shoot.

LODGING LOCATIONS FOR THE WORKSHOP

Lodging is not included in the cost of the workshop. We will be staying at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Georgetown, Texas. It is recommended, but not required that you book here. Editing classes will be held in this location and this is where we will embark for shooting.

SCHEDULE

DAY 1 : EARLY BIRD GETS THE SUNRISE

  • We will meet at The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Georgetown at 5:30am. After a short meet and greet, we will photograph the sunrise in the country (6:44am).
  • 10:00am comprehensive class on editing your images in Adobe Camera Raw
  • 5:00pm dinner
  • 6:00pm Austin. We will photograph architecture in the city. 
  • 8:00pm setup and shoot city sunset at Pennybacker Bridge (8:30pm)
  • 9:00pm we will photograph the moon over Austin. 
  • 10:00pm return to Georgetown.

DAY 2: SHOOTING IN LOW LIGHT

  • 6:30am depart for Dripping Springs
  • 8:00am Morning light at Hamilton Pool
  • 2:00pm comprehensive editing class on Photoshop and Lightroom
  • 5:00pm dinner
  • 6:30pm depart for sunset location
  • 8:00pm setup and shoot country sunset (8:30pm) 
  • 9:30pm after dark shoot to photograph stars and the moon.
  • 11:00pm return to Georgetown. Workshop ends.

HERE IS A LIST OF RECOMMENDED ITEMS

  • A sturdy tripod
  • A camera capable of exposures longer than 1 second
  • At least 2 batteries for your camera and a charger
  • A wide angle lens of at least 24mm with an aperture of f/5.6 or less. 
  • Telephoto lens of at least 70mm with an aperture of f/5.6 or less
  • Memory cards totaling at least 64 gigabytes
  • Camera bag that can be easily carried
  • Laptop with access to Adobe Creative Cloud (30 day free trial at Adobe.com) 
  • Card Reader and/or USB cable
  • An intervalometer
  • Flashlight
